Peacefully, at LHSC-University Hospital, London on Sunday, March 6, 2011 of Exeter in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Ruth (Holden) Squire. Dear father of Douglas and Deborah Squire of Dorchester and William Squire of Granton. Dear grandfather of Kristy, Kevin, Ashleigh, Jared and Hilary and great-grandfather of Jakob and Sebastian. Dear brother of Merle Lamond of London and brother-in-law of Cora and Lawrence Mitchell of St. Marys and Edith Hastings of Stratford. Predeceased by his sister Gladys Chittick.

Friends may call at the Community Bible Church, 24294 Adelaide Street North, Lucan (at Highway 7) on Wednesday, March 9th from 9:30-10:30 AM where the funeral service will be held at 11 AM with Pastor Doug Loveday officiating. Interment Exeter Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Community Bible Church or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

Cathy & I are in Florida, and thus will miss the funeral. Cecil was an inspiration and a fine example to to me, both as a “man after God’s own heart”, and as a kind, loving husband. I also appreciated the way he was welcoming and kind to our Nick & Mary. We’ll all miss him, but give thanks that God placed him in our path of life………Now it’s Heavens gain!
