Video Games Releases to Watch for June 2011: Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time ...

This list is by no means a complete list of games coming out in the featured month.  I am mentioning games I can reasonably state will be releasing in the time frame of the featured month that I personally feel deserve the most attention.  I will try to mention both retail, digital-only, and cellphone/mobile titles.  If there are any games you feel are significant in the featured month I didn’t mention, please feel free to share in the comments in the same fashion I do in the article.  I will only mention full game releases, not any kind of expansion content or demo releases.  I will include a link to the official ESRB rating description if it’s available.  Always check with your preferred retailer for final release dates.  Lastly, I will attempt to arrange titles in order of release date.


inFamous 2 [PS3 exclusive] June 7, 2011 – A super charged sequel set to change the landscape again.  Become Cole once more, electrically endowed human from a catastrophic event in the last game.  Take to a new city with a better understanding of your abilities and a new threat to bring down with them.  You’ll even be able to use melee weapons you can infuse with electricity for even more variety.


With this brand new city comes more interactive terrain.  You’ll have improved versions of your previous powers and parkour abilities to traverse the city with and will gain new techniques as you play through.  Feel like a super hero with extraordinary powers to take down new massive bosses.


The Morality system has been redone to provide more opportunities to shape the person Cole is, with two possible endings to achieve.


After you’ve finished the main plot, you can enjoy creating and playing custom challenges.  Players are able to create and share challenges set in the city through online play.  Take on challenges to prove just how super you are.

GAMESHARK HAS FALLEN OFF WITH THEIR PRODUCTS : May 13, 2006

For some odd reason I bought this version of Gameshark hoping it would be a pretty good cheat device, since I have broadband to keep it updated. It also states you can use a usb memory stick/storage device to update your codes.

I CANNOT GET EITHER TO WORK.

Several other people in the GS.com Forums have had the same problems… They try to log on to update codes via broadband and it connects maybe twice out of hundreds of attempts.

Manually entering codes on the newer versions of Gameshark is a pain in the @$$… it’s nothing like the older versions. Also, a lot of the self entered codes will not be recognized by the game and therefore they will not work, so you waste time putting in the codes manually, and nothing happens when you load the game.

I have no clue why they’d market this junk… If they would have left their old configuration alone this would probably be a decent product, unfortunately, they didn’t and it’s not.

Go buy yourself an ARMAX EVO… At least it works 90% of the time, whereas Gameshark works about 20% of the time.

DO NOT BUY UNLESS YOU INTEND ONLY ON USING THE PRELOADED CODES, UPDATING THIS PRODUCT IS ALMOST IMPOSIBLE !

Game shark for the PS 2 is a waste : March 4, 2007

Do not buy this product. It has blue surface and your PS 2 will probably have problems reading it and give you a “disk error.” I don’t know why they did this. Also, the one I purchased scratched very easily compounding my problems. Unfortuntely, is was too late to take it back to the vendor. I am going to try code breaker. It seems a much better product. The orignial game shark for the ps 1 that attached to the console was a far better product.
