Alex Da Kid Inks Deal With Interscope, Skylar Grey Up First

The house built by Jimmy Iovine just got a bit bigger via multi-platinum British producer Alex Da Kid. The Grammy award winning producer has inked a deal with Interscope to launch his KIDinaKORNER imprint. Current hook queen and singer/songwriter Skylar Grey is on tap as the label’s first release. Grey has appeared on some of Alex Da Kid’s recent hits including Lupe Fiasco’s “Words I Never Said,” Diddy & Dirty Money’s “Coming Home” and Dr Dre’s “I Need A Doctor.”

Alex Da Kid had this to say about his recent partnership with Interscope, "developing artists that influence and shape popular culture in an authentic way has always been a huge goal of mine, Jimmy Iovine understands that and has been a true mentor to me over the past year. I look forward to continuing all the success we have already had together."

The 27-year old producer has made major waves in the pop world starting in 2010 with a string of massive hits which included B.O.B.’s “Airplanes” and Eminem’s “Love The Way You Lie.” In February 2011, he won a Grammy for his work on Eminem’s triple platinum opus Recovery . Then, in April 2011 was nominated for an astounding eight Billboard Awards which included two nominations alone in the “Top Rap Song” category.
